Definition: humanoid robot
An AI-based robot that has the appearance of a person. Also called an "android," humanoid robots have two arms and legs and may verbally communicate in multiple languages with an ever-increasing vocabulary. Although they increasingly look more lifelike, humanoid robots can have much more flexibility than people. See hyperrealistic robot.

Created by DroidUp in Shanghai, Moya is called the first "biomimetic" robot, which means the replication of natural elements. In late 2026, Moya was deployed in a Chinese lingerie store.
