(1) Any automatic operation that does not require user intervention. Zero click means no icon or menu item was purposefully selected. See agent.

(2) Doing nothing intentionally to cause an invasion of spyware, adware, virus or other malevolent software into a computing device. Malware may already be in the computer, or it may activate because it is part of an installed application.

Zero click also refers to malware that invades a smartphone and turns on the microphone and camera. Such spyware listens to and watches every move the user makes. See spyware.
