Definition: rollable smartphone

A smartphone with a screen that rolls back into the case like a window shade. Rollable phones become the size of small tablets but take up considerably less room in a pocket or purse than even foldable phones. At CES 2021, TCL and LG demonstrated rollable phones without revealing production dates; however, such devices are expected in the 2025 time frame. See foldable phone and FOLED.
