(2) Gaming via cloud computing. Game streaming lets gamers play video games on a mobile device or low-power PC by streaming the content from the Internet. A fast Internet connection is required in order for gamers to have their fun on low-cost devices. Gaming consoles are stand-alone devices that cost $300 and up, and high-end gaming PCs can cost a couple thousand.
