Definition: drive-by install

Introducing malware while installing another program. The allure of "free" software causes people to download apps that may or may not perform any useful task. However, in the process, spyware or some other malware may be installed. Even if the installation dialog clearly identifies the secondary program and gives the user a choice, people often keep clicking Next without reading. See drive-by download, EULA and spyware.
