Definition: crypto stamp

A regular postage stamp that has a counterpart on the Polygon blockchain. Just as postage stamps have been collected for years, crypto stamps were created for collectors. In June 2019, the Austrian post office was first to put 150,000 crypto stamps into circulation, and the Swiss and Dutch post offices have also participated in blockchain-based stamps. A crypto stamp is similar to a non-fungible token (NFT) that certifies ownership of an object that is either online or physical. See Polygon blockchain and NFT.
