Definition: UICC


(Universal Integrated Circuit Card) A removable smart card that can be used in GSM, CDMA or UMTS cellphones depending on which applications are present on the card. It runs the carrier's network applications: GSM uses the SIM app, CDMA uses the CSIM app and UMTS uses the USIM app. See CSIM, USIM and SIM card.
