Definition: Galaxy Flip
A foldable smartphone from Samsung. Introduced in 2020, the Galaxy Z Flip is one of the first devices with a foldable OLED screen. Reminiscent of the flip phone, which was the generation prior to smartphones, the 2024 Z Flip 6 has a 50MP camera, 4K video and 256GB of storage. There is no microSD card slot for extra storage and no 3.5mm headphone jack. See flip phone.

Flip models have a 6.7" display and weigh 6.5 ounces. In 2021, the Flip 3 (middle) enlarged the cover screen to show more information.
