Originally developed in 1983 for DOS by Dragonfly Software, Nota Bene Workstation includes the word processor, Ibidem bibliographic database, IbidPlus general-purpose database and Orbis text retrieval system.

Additional modules provide more Orbis formats with Orbis+, foreign alphabets with Lingua (Greek, Hebrew, Cyrillic, etc.) and Archiva for searching university and research libraries. An Archiva option provides conversion utilities.
