Google's AI division, which is the merger of Google Brain and DeepMind in 2023 to officially become Google DeepMind. Google Brain was Google's research division created in 2011 and known for TensorFlow among other products. DeepMind was founded in the U.K. in 2010 by Demis Hassabis, Shane Legg and Mustafa Suleyman and was acquired by Google in 2014. DeepMind Accomplishments
In 2016, DeepMind's AlphaGo board game beat an international Go champion, and in 2020, its AlphaFold2 predicted the shape of proteins to the nearest atom, a dramatic accomplishment that has huge potential for analyzing human functions.
