Google's compilation of more than 500 billion facts and figures. Made public in 2012, the Google Knowledge Graph provides the source for a summary of pertinent data at the top of the results list in Google searches. Because of the Knowledge Graph, users may get the information they require without having to link to websites in the search results.
The Knowledge Graph uses data from many sources and is also the foundation of information used to generate results in Google's AI Overview. The Freebase knowledge base was also part of the Knowledge Graph but was moved to Wikidata in 2015. See
