A user-generated knowledge base that was launched in 2012 by the German chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation. Document oriented, each item in Wikidata is prefixed with a Q and a number. In 2015, Google's Freebase knowledge base was added to Wikidata. Wikidata is more structured than Wikipedia, and Wikipedia uses the data in Wikidata for its mobile views and info boxes. See
