Definition: chip on chip

(1) (ChIP) (CHromatin ImmunoPrecipitation on chip) ChIP on chip is a micro array chip that tests the interaction between the DNA and proteins in a human cell. See ChIP and micro array.

(2) A 3D cube of chips, using bare chips mounted one over the other with spacers in between. As this technology matures, it is expected that up to 100 chips can be used in one cube.
