Definition: Borland C++


An earlier ANSI C and C++ compiler from Borland for DOS and Windows applications. It was Turbo C-compatible and its debugger supported Windows programs written in Microsoft C. It included application frameworks for Windows (ObjectWindows) and DOS (Turbo Vision). Borland C++ for OS/2 was also available. Borland C++ was superseded by C++Builder in 1997. See C++Builder.
