The AI chatbot integrated into Microsoft's Bing search engine in early 2023. Bing's chatbot is based on OpenAI's GPT natural language system. Also called the "New Bing," it can be used like a virtual assistant; however, it is also capable of generating original text. In late 2023, Bing Chat was renamed Copilot. See
GPT and
Copilot.
A Happy Computer
Bing Chat was given the prompt
"tell me about a happy computer," and the following was the result. This prompt was given to several chatbots from time to time, and Bing was the only one that included the Happy Computer magazine (see
Happy Computer).
A happy computer can mean different things
depending on the context. For example, it could
be:
* A company that provides enjoyable IT training
and consultancy services.
* A product that enhances the performance and
functionality of Atari disk drives.
* A magazine that covers topics related to home
computers and video games.
* An image that depicts a computer with a smiling
face or a person using a computer happily.
