Definition: zero email

A goal of eliminating internal email between employees. Emails sent between members of a project with multiple conversation threads become fragmented and unwieldy when users forget to "reply to all" instead of the immediate sender.

Using various collaboration and project management tools, everyone in the project is kept up-to-date and working together on a single thread of information. The only email in a Zero Email initiative is between external suppliers and customers. See blueKiwi ZEN.
