Definition: xvYCC

(EXtended-gamut YCC) A color space from the IEC with 1.8 times as many colors as sRGB. Also called "x.v.Color," xvYCC was introduced in 2005 to match the wider color gamut of modern HDTV sets. Whereas sRGB provides a portion of the color spectrum, xvYCC can display every color the human eye can absorb. See sRGB.
