(Ultra High Frequency) A range of radio frequencies from 300 MHz to 3 GHz. In the U.S., analog television has used UHF channels 52 to 69 in the 700 MHz band. Because of the transition from analog to digital TV, the FCC auctioned this spectrum to the highest bidders in early 2008 (see 700 MHz spectrum). See VHF and spectrum.
