Tape Cartridge Types
On the left is an old 8-track with a continuous loop of tape that remains inside the cartridge. On the right is an LTO cartridge. After being inserted into the drive, the tape is automatically pulled out and coiled onto a take-up reel. See 8-track tape and LTO.
