Definition: superagency

A superior human agency due to AI. Whereas human agency means people's ability to influence their own lives, superagency implies that people will make more meaningful decisions in the future and that mundane tasks will be automatic. For example, tax returns might be automatically filled out each year, and there will be less paperwork for all transactions. See AI agent. Contrast with AI anxiety.

Things Will Be Safer
Superagency will enable people to have amazing control of their lives, as AI agents make things safer in the future. For example, there is no doubt the safety measures in new cars are invaluable, but in the future, self-driving vehicles will save lives on their own. As a country's highways, stop lights and signage are revamped to accommodate autonomous vehicles, driving will be much safer. Vehicles will not be allowed to stop or park where they could cause an accident, and inebriated drivers will not be allowed to take control. Parking meters will make automatic payment transactions.

AI-driven home sensors can better detect leaks, electrical faults, pest infestation and humidity levels, thus preventing larger problems from manifesting. Total home monitoring will enable people to worry less and take advantage of more entertainment on screens in every room that roll down from the ceiling. Essentially, every transaction in a person's life will be automated and kept up to date. "Big Brother" on steroids. Stay tuned!

Everything Superagency Can Bring
