(2) (Standard Dynamic Range video) The most widely supported color standard for video. SDR supports 8-bit color and brightness between 100 and 300 nits. SDR ensures that every device in the video chain is compatible. However, high dynamic range (HDR) displays are generally backward compatible with SDR. See HDR.
