Definition: staking provider

An organization that offers proof-of-stake (PoS) services for blockchains, such as Ethereum 2.0. Staking providers create a staking pool and enable people to participate without any technical knowledge or even having the minimum coin requirement. For example, 32 ETH are required to become an Ethereum 2.0 validator. See Ethereum 2.0 and yield farming.

The Lido Staking Provider
Lido provides a solution for people who want to stake their ETH tokens. In late July 2022, these two examples describe the value proposition and APR for two popular blockchains. Lido also supports Polygon, Polkadot and Kusama. For more information, visit www.lido.fi. See stETH.
