(3) (Singularity) An earlier experimental OS from Microsoft for the x86 platform released in 2007. Singularity was primarily written in C# (see
.NET Framework). Like Windows, there was only one address space, but Singularity ran each OS and application in a "software-isolated process" (SIP) for security and crash protection.
