TV, radio, telephone or Internet service from a satellite.  The satellite serves as a relay station in the sky, retransmitting signals over a broad geographic area on earth.  Obtaining satellite service requires a satellite phone or ground-based antenna for sending and receiving signals.  Satellite Internet and telephone are naturally bidirectional services (two-way), whereas satellite radio is unidirectional (one-way).  Satellite TV may be one-way or two-way.  See
