Definition: quantum teleportation


To recreate an object in a distant location. Quantum teleportation uses the entanglement property of quantum mechanics, which means that the quantum state in one place affects the quantum state in another. Also called "quantum Internet."

There are scientists who believe that the Star Trek mode of human teleportation is theoretically possible when we are finally able to decode every atom in the human body.
