A printer that can be switched from pushing paper onto the platen to pulling it from the platen. The platen is a rubber roller that the paper rides over to receive impressions from the print head.
Pushed forms are fed from the bottom or rear of the printer, whereas the pull tractor is at the top of the printer. Both methods grab the holes at the sides of the forms with the teeth on a sprocket wheel. See
