A metric of efficiency. An organization's productivity measures its output (goods and services) in relation to its input over time. Programming productivity is sometimes measured by the lines of code produced, although that can be a very subjective analysis. A nation's productivity also measures its goods and services output defined as the gross domestic product (GDP). See
