Definition: SpO2
(Saturation of Peripheral Oxygen) SpO2 is the oxygen saturation in the bloodstream. The body normally maintains the required oxygen level from 94 to 100%, but any level below 90% can be problematic as well as dangerous if below 85%. A finger pulse oximeter measures SpO2 level as does a smartwatch that provides health monitoring.
