Definition: nvSRAM

(Non-Volatile SRAM) Static RAM (SRAM) that is backed up to non-volatile flash memory in the event of power failure. nvSRAM uses regular SRAM for reading and writing data, but when power is lost, capacitors have enough charge to transfer the contents of SRAM cells to EEPROM or flash memory chips. See non-volatile memory and SSD.
