Redirected from: natural language interface

Definition: conversational interface

A voice recognition and natural language interface for a computer or mobile device. Virtual assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant, Copilot and Amazon Alexa feature conversational interfaces.

In China, where the language is far more tedious to type, especially on small keyboards, conversational interfaces are dramatically enhancing search queries. The artificial intelligence labs at Baidu, China's largest search engine, spends considerable resources perfecting speech recognition and natural language processing. In time, AI is likely to make the conversational interface ubiquitous. See virtual assistant, user interface, voice recognition and natural language recognition.
