(Mobile-HEALTH) An umbrella term for body-worn electronic devices and mobile apps that are used in healthcare. M-health includes monitors worn by patients as well as sensors in smartphones that detect heartbeats and heart rhythms. It also encompasses the smartphone and tablet apps physicians and nurses use to obtain and disseminate information. See telemedicine.
