Definition: mid-band 5G


5th-generation cellular service using the 2.5 GHz to 7.1 GHz frequency bands. In 2020, T-Mobile began rolling out 2.5 GHz service touting it as the "gold standard" of 5G frequency bands because it can reach more people than the higher millimeter-wave bands, known as "5G UWB."
