Definition: mathematical equation

A relationship between natural or manmade elements that is used in every discipline except circuit logic. Algebraic and geometric equations are at the heart of scientific research and practice from atomic levels to space exploration. Equations are also used in every facet of engineering from developing new electronics to building skyscrapers. See mathematical function.

Circuit Logic
Mathematical equations are used to build the semiconductor industry, but the transistors in the chip are wired together using Boolean logic, which is the "mathematics of logic" in the circuits. See Boolean logic.
