People who use their brains and not their brawn to earn a living. In the IT field, almost everyone is a knowledge worker, including systems analysts and programmers. Years ago, datacenter operators were a mix of brains and brawn because part of their job was to carry magnetic tapes, disk cartridges and boxes of paper from one place to another.
