Definition: iPaq


An earlier Compaq Computer brand name for desktop computers and mobile phones. In 2000, the iPaq desktop was a legacy-free PC that used Pentium III or Celeron processors and ran Windows 98, NT or 2000 with a maximum of 512MB of RAM and 10GB hard drive. In 2001, the iPaq H3100 was a monochrome, Pocket PC-based PDA. Subsequent iPaq models came out as HP-labeled PDAs and smartphones after Compaq was acquired by HP in 2002. See Pocket PC, Compaq and HP.
