Definition: Apple iFrame

A digital video format from Apple that uses intraframe compression for ease of editing and standard encoding methods (H.264, AAC and QuickTime). The iFrame resolution is 960x540 pixels; more than SD, but not HD. By using intraframe compression, each video frame stands alone and does not need to be converted to another format for editing. See intraframe coding.
