Definition: gruvi card

An earlier microSD memory card from SanDisk that was designed for paid content. Using SanDisk's TrustedFlash digital rights management (DRM), the gruvi card enabled content to be distributed in a compact, copy protected format to phones, music players and other portable devices with microSD or SD card slots. In 2005, the Rolling Stone's "A Bigger Bang" album was the first gruvi title to be released. See SD card.
