A general term for the electronic distribution of information, including text, images, audio and video. A feed may be a syndicated radio or TV program that is streamed on a regular basis, or it may be a syndication feed available on a website or blog.

The term may refer to any content that is "fed into" some other repository. For example, periodically, the text in this encyclopedia is converted into an "XML feed" that is uploaded to various websites. At the server side, the XML file is converted into a database. See
