Definition: FCC


(1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. The FCC was created under the U.S. Communications Act of 1934, and its board of commissioners is appointed by the president of the United States. See net neutrality.

(2) (fcc) (File Carbon Copy) A function in an email client program that saves an outgoing message to a particular folder. See cc and bcc.
