Definition: eZ80


An 8-bit microprocessor from Zilog that was four times as fast as the Z80. Introduced in 2000, the eZ80 was suited for Internet appliances, PDAs and games and could address up to 16MB of RAM. As of 2020, eZ80 CPUs were still being offered in Zilog microcontrollers. See Z80 and microcontroller.
