Take-
Off and
Landing) An eVTOL aircraft is designed for transportation within a city or confined area. There are several eVTOL designs. Some have wings that fold during takeoff and landing, while others embrace tilting motors. Although most eVTOLs rely on batteries, other designs employ hydrogen fuel cells.
Air Taxis and EMS
There are numerous companies designing and building eVTOLs, some of which are hoping to create an entirely new taxi industry, while others are designed for EMS/ambulance services. In all cases, landing and taking off in tight spaces offers new possibilities. See

Wisk Generation 6 Aircraft
Boeing subsidiary Wisk Aero is expected to make its first flight in 2025. Generation 6 is a 12-propeller electric eVTOL aircraft that flies from 2,500 to 4,000 feet above ground over a 90-mile range. It is remote controlled with human assistance. (Image courtesy of Wisk Aero.)
