Definition: crypto blob


(1) For the cryptocurrency blob format, see proto-danksharding.

(2) An encrypted file that is difficult to identify the encryption method used. Normally, encryption keeps the content hidden. A crypto blob keeps the algorithm to encrypt the content hidden by using the "padded uniform random blob" (PURB) method. This type of crypto blob is about cryptography, not cryptocurrency. See PURB.
