Definition: crypto anchor
(CRYPTOgraphic anchor)  A tiny computer chip from IBM that contains a tamper-proof cryptographic signature.  Costing just a few cents and recorded on a blockchain, crypto anchors can be embedded in products to prove their authenticity.

IBM also has a non-chip solution with its AI-based Crypto Anchor Verifier application.  Using a smartphone and the Crypto Anchor app, various minerals and plants can be optically authenticated.
