A category of artificial intelligence (AI) that is designed to hold a conversation with a human about one topic or a variety of topics. Virtual assistants such as Siri, Cortana and Amazon's Echo (Alexa) are examples of conversational AI. A tech support chatbot is another example; however, the interaction is designed to deal with problems on one website or one application. See
