Definition: Anaconda

The Python and R programming languages combined with several hundred packages for Linux, Windows and Mac. Introduced in 2012 by Anaconda, Inc., Anaconda uses the "conda" package manager as well as Anaconda Navigator, which is a GUI option that can be used in place of the command line. Navigator can be used instead of conda to search for packages both locally as well as in the Anaconda Cloud repository.

Miniconda
Miniconda is a bootstrap version of Anaconda that includes Python, conda and a select number of packages. Additional packages can be installed from the repository. See Python, R and package manager.
