(1) Streaming photos and video from a computer to the TV set via a wired or wireless connection (see
digital media hub).
(2) Sending the computer's display to a TV set for viewing. For example, a computer with a video-out port can be cabled directly to an input on the TV. With USB adapters at both ends, various wireless systems transmit the computer's screen to the TV (see
wireless USB). Intel has its own wireless technology for laptops (see
WiDi).
