(Computer Supported Cooperative Work) The ways technology helps people work together on projects. CSCW covers collaboration in the same venue (see roomware) as well as across distances. Real-time collaboration such as videoconferencing and document editng is "synchronous," while email, calendars and blogs fall into "asynchronous" collaboration.
