Definition: channel partner program


A business arrangement between a vendor and a third party that recommends or resells its products. A channel partner can be a distributor, reseller, service company or educational organization. The program specifies the obligations of both parties and outlines the incentives provided by the vendor for meeting sales levels, which includes discounts, training, advertising and human resources.
