Definition: catch-all mailbox

A mailbox that can be assigned to incoming email messages that have invalid or non-configured recipient names. A catch-all mailbox allows new email addresses to be published without setting up specific email accounts. For example, as long as sales and feedback were not email accounts, sales@xyz.com and feedback@xyz.com would be directed automatically to the catch-all mailbox. See mailbox.
