Organizations that provide leadership and development of blockchain-based systems. A blockchain service provider is typically hired by organizations that mostly want to augment their information systems with a private blockchain, rather than create a blockchain open to the general public. However, public access of some sort may be a requirement.

According to an IDC MarketScape study, in 2020, the major players worldwide were IBM, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, EY, TCS, Deloitte and Tech Mahindra. The contenders were KPMG, DXC and NTT DATA. See crypto glossary.
